Privacy at Afterlight
Your story stays yours.
This notice explains the information used to run the Afterlight zombie couple video studio, including Google sign-in, photo uploads, video safety checks, payment, generation, and analytics. Last updated October 15, 2026.
We collect what is needed to create a video, deliver a purchase, keep an account secure, and respond to problems. Some steps rely on the providers described below. If you do not want your image processed by them, please do not upload it. You can browse the informational pages without an account.
Information you provide and what we receive
When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, and display name. We use the unique account identifier to recognize your account; an email address alone is not used as the account key. We do not ask for your Google password. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in.
To make a video, you upload two portraits and choose who is the survivor, who is the transformed partner, and which setting to use. We store the uploaded files in private cloud storage while they are needed for generation and account operations. The generated video is returned through a provider-hosted asset link. We keep the generation task identifier, status, scene, date, and result link in your account so you can revisit your videos and we can help resolve a failed request. The video file itself remains hosted by the generation provider, so its continued availability depends on that provider.
When you buy a video, we keep order and fulfillment records: a local order reference, the product and amount, payment state, provider transaction identifiers, and whether the purchase has been used for a generation. Waffo Pancake hosts checkout and handles payment details. We do not receive or store a complete card number or card security code.
How your photos are used
We do not run a separate NSFW check on uploaded photos. The configured video service receives temporary access to the portraits, your selected scene, and the built-in creative direction. Kie Seedance 2.5 is used by default; its generation request enables the NSFW checker for the resulting video. SeeAPI video generation remains available when selected in the app configuration, and also enables its video NSFW checker. Kie receives the photos through its temporary file-upload service so the video task can use them. A temporary signed link allows the service to retrieve an image without access to your account or storage bucket.
We do not use your portraits to advertise the service or place them in a public gallery. The home page video and example frames are separate illustrative concepts. We ask you to upload only images of consenting adults, and to avoid any image you would not be comfortable having processed by the video generation provider.
Why we process this information
Account data lets us identify the person who purchased a video and created a job. Portraits, role choices, and scene settings are needed to perform the video request. Payment and fulfillment records let us provide the purchased digital service, prevent duplicate grants, allow another attempt when a generation fails, account for refunds, and investigate billing issues. We also use limited technical information and server logs to keep the site secure and diagnose failures.
We do not sell your uploaded photos. We do not use them for a public social feed, targeted advertising, or a separate facial recognition product. The studio is designed to produce the video you requested. If we need to change that purpose in the future, we will update this notice before making the change.
Payments, refunds, and purchases
Waffo Pancake processes the hosted checkout. We send the product, price, currency, account email, and a local order reference when creating a checkout session. A signed payment notification tells us when a payment is complete; returning from checkout alone does not make a video available to create. We then record one paid video on your account. Refund notifications adjust that record, including when a purchase has already been used, so the account reflects the financial adjustment accurately.
The advertised $9.90 is a one-time product price, not a subscription. Taxes or payment details shown by the hosted cashier may depend on your location. Please review the final checkout amount before paying.
Analytics and verification
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load when you visit the site. They help us understand visits, page use, and where people encounter difficulty. These services may use cookies or similar browser storage and receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, and interactions. You can manage cookies in your browser settings or use browser privacy controls.
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools use site verification tags and search performance data. Those verification tags do not give them access to your private uploads. Standard server logs may include IP address, request time, browser information, and error details for security and troubleshooting.
Storage, security, and retention
Uploaded portraits are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. The image links provided to generation services are signed and expire. We use HTTPS for site traffic and keep provider keys on the server. We restrict job records to the signed-in account that created them. No technical measure can eliminate every risk, so choose photos with care and keep control of your Google account.
We keep account, purchase, and payment records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet applicable accounting, tax, dispute, and legal obligations. Uploaded photos and job details are retained while needed for the requested service and support; there is currently no published automatic deletion schedule. You may ask us to review and delete eligible account or media data. Financial records or information needed to resolve an active dispute may have to be retained longer.
Your choices and requests
You can use browser privacy controls, sign out, and decide not to upload photos. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain certain personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing. We may ask for enough information to verify that a request comes from the account owner.
If an image was uploaded without permission, details that help locate it may be needed for review. Avoid sharing more sensitive information than necessary. A video already downloaded and shared elsewhere may be outside our control.
Children, international processing, and updates
The studio is for adults. Do not create an account for a child or upload a minor's image. Our providers may process information in countries different from yours, subject to their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards. This notice may change as the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version; material changes will be reflected here.
